Leather fashion goods designer and retailer, Lakeland Leather, has adopted a Microsoft Dynamics based retail solution from K3, the UK's leading Microsoft Business Solutions Partner.
Lakeland Managing Director, Richard Standring, said, “We were a pioneer with technology 28 years ago and over that period built systems that ran our business very effectively. However, with the loss of mainframe support from HP, and an inflexible till system, we were looking for a new and integrated solution that would enable us to grow the business.”
K3 and Microsoft representatives are working closely with Lakeland to optimise solutions based around K3’s merchandising, financials, warehousing and reporting modules.
Standring continued, “K3 has developed a tool for fragmentation that will enable us to view and understand where goods are selling well or not so well, so we can move goods to other stores long before we have to consider markdowns.”
Lakeland will also be developing a number of reports so that it can compare performance of stores, operators, items and product groups.
Having researched a new solution, Lakeland had found nothing suitable until they discovered K3. Standring added, “Many vendors were not even as far ahead as we already were with systems. Others were simply inflexible to our needs.”
Paul Makin, sales director for K3, said, “The Lakeland project is further proof that K3 has strong fashion technology credentials and can provide solutions across the supply chain."
Topps Tiles, the UK’s largest tile and wood flooring retailer, will be saving time and money by enabling paper purchase invoices to be converted into electronic images and made instantly available from within their existing Microsoft Navision solution
K3 has been awarded Reseller of the year 2012 in Europe by TARGIT
