Kiddicare wins EPOS Innovation of the Year

K3 and Protouch were chosen for the award of ‘EPOS innovation of the year’ at the Retail Systems 2008 Awards, presented on 29th October.

They were selected from a number of other shortlisted companies that included Tesco & Wincor Nixdorf and The Co-operative Group, for their revolutionary kiosk solution for Kiddicare, the UK nursery supplier.

The EPOS solution improved Kiddicare’s in-store service levels by providing customers and sales staff with an attractive point of service kiosk that offered information about products, complementary items and promotions in an easy to use system that takes payments and arranges collection or home delivery. As a result Kiddicare was able to manage more customers, without increasing staff costs and enhance the shopping experience by allowing customers to spend more time browsing and no time queuing or carrying purchases.
