Business Intelligence Consultant

K3, The Retail People, are currently looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Consultant, to join their team based in Oxfordshire. This role involves:

• Engaging with clients to analyse and scope Business Intelligence requirements

• Estimating a project’s time and resource requirements

• Designing and develop solutions according to the client’s requirements

• Preparing user documentation and provide training

• Developing BI prototypes for the sales team

The successful candidate will be a BI “Technical Specialist” with proven experience in delivering business intelligence solutions and demonstrable in-depth knowledge of the following:

• Data modelling in both transactional and multi-dimensional environments

• Design and development of BI solutions in the Microsoft SQL Server environment (using Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services)

• Design and development of dashboards and reports in BI applications (ProClarity, TARGIT or similar

• Consulting/customer-facing experience.

• General understanding of Internet technologies such as HTML, ASP. .NET etc (not essential)

• Experience within the Retail sector would be an advantage
